In my experience, the truth starts to leak out when I say no — or somehow make it known that it’s a no without saying so.

Because once I vote no, they mount an attack to gaslight, discredit, and blame, all the while tightening the attachment hooks.

What, do they really need me that much? The reason not to answer that question is that I must examine why I think I need them.
