It strikes me that person needs environment to interact with. If there are other personal persons, even with just those two relationships and their environment, it gets complicated.

I feel lucky when I hear my self-talk coach me like this:

“Let’s just let that other person play their part in the production.”

Works for me unless it’s a one-person-show. Then I might go look for a water fountain.
