It used to be Michael Berg, that an artist’s job was difficult and a critic’s easier, although the latter could not profit without the former.

In the case of the super cynical critic, one unschooled in criticisms finer points, unschooled in many other ways too, but a faithful follower of the channels that teach this low form, work is easier still.

Does it pay?

However, bots have stepped in to replace the meanies making the job of the artist still more difficult.

Perhaps money should not make the world go round, but sadly, we must pay the rent — and some of us may are still trapped in the never ending, bottomless pit called student loans.

Thanks for your piece. I enjoyed the thought train that it inspired. Keep up the good work.
