They look cheaper going in, expensive in retrospect, not just in dollars saved or not saved, but the time that relationships take.

Time which seemed like a minor sacrifice. My class was regarded as an interruption — to dinner, or plans for meeting friends, wood pile maintenence, even lawn mowing, for gods sakes!

Since I live alone again I’ve been able to make large strides towards my goals. Even though it cost more to live this way, the job that I’m getting, the book I’m writing, the consulting work I’m doing — all of it will pay off.
