Well they do for me, though not in a super helpful direction. Shame causes me to avoid the feeling, by doubling my Goody Two Shoes behaviors — like overhelping, giving way too much of my time to people and projects that don’t give back.

Feeling Goody’s perfectitis, it tips me off that I may be feeling the S-word and the G-word. Then I can change things.

That’s learning.
