Ya! But the Q-sticks we had just jammed it in further. Then I had trouble hearing. When I had to ho to the clinic to get it flushed out, they said to put nothing smaller than your elbow in there.

I wished someone at that clinic would have picked up on the clues, if they ever felt compelled to tell anybody, or if child abuse was so common in the 1960s that it would have been too funny to investigate.
